Waynesville Soldiers

Can anyone clear this up for me? According to the "Tilley Treasure, by James King, in May of 1861, two companies were formed in Waynesville, MO. One was commanded by Sheriff H. W. Stewart and the other by lawyer and legislator, V. B. Hill. In V. B. Hill's bio, it says he was captain of company F, 1st Regiment Missouri State Guards, McBride's division in the Confederate army and was in the battles of Wilson's Creek, Drywood, and Lexington. Was company F one of the Waynesville companies? If so, what was the other one known as? I have been told that these companies fought under the command of Joseph Kelly and were next to Guibor's Battery at Bloody Hill. Edwin Bearss has Kelly's infantry as part of Parson's Division, not McBrides. Can anyone reconcile these two assertions? Is anything further known of the Waynesville men's service at Wilson's Creek, Drywood and Lexington? Since Kelly was severely wounded at the Wilson's Creek, did they remain in his command? Finally, when and how did the Waynesville companies' service terminate? Thanks for your help.
