From the witness testimony in the US/Mexican Claims Commission files, the bodies of Parsons, Standish, Conrow, and "Dutch Bill" were never recovered; the mutilated corpses were disposed of in the San Juan River in Nuevo Leon, Mexico—a tragic and ironic fate for these indefatigable Confederates.
