This family of Simmons came from Fountain Run, Monroe County, KY . around 1826 to 1830 the first William G. Simmons he is the father of my Joel Yancy Simmons they bought land in Cole Co. Mo. near Russellville , Mo.
I also think these simmons came from the family of Naysa Simmons as one of Williams sons was named Naysa Simmons .
