Brothers Ananias & William P Cunningham

Seeking info on my gggf Ananias Cunningham Company D 3rd Calvary Regiment. Enlisted as a private. That is the last record I have of him. I don't believe he came home to Webster County MO or was bushwacked like his brother William Pleasant Cunningham. William came home to Wright County MO in May 17th, 1863 because of illness. He was shot by a gang of men while his wife went for help. The grey sweater he was wearing with the bullet hole and bloodstains was kept by the family for years and then was donated to the History Museum of Springfield MO.

William and Ananias' father,William of Webster County, fought for the Union. My grandmothers people were Fleetwoods in Douglas County MO. They were involved in a bitter feud with the Alsup family. The feud involved a day long battle where Bryant Creek and Fox Creek meet, just before the war.

Can anybody tell me how to find out if, when and where Ananias died during the war. My gg-grandmother remarried a Thomas Brixey in Douglas County. She and Ananias had 3 children Moses E ,Morris and Eliza J. Thanx to all
