I am looking for information on John T. Scotten. born 1824 N. Carolina and resided in Howard Co. Allegedly died as POW in St. Louis 1864 late or early 1865. I found him listed as member of 2nd Batt. from Howard and Randolph Co. Rgt. EMM under Capt. Calloway. Mustered in 29 Oct 1982 in Franklin Mo by Major Reeves. Is he an enlisted man? Member of Home Guard? I would appreciate any help.
