Capt. Pike M. Thomson was my great-grandfather. His second son, Lloyd, was my grandfather.

I have quite a bit of information about the Thomsons, Goodwins, Browns, Ellis' and Shipps, etc., on my website:
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bianco/index.html
however, I have not been able to update it. (The files are on my old computer which doesn't have internet service anymore.)

Allison Patterson descends from my Aunt Polly (Thomson) Smeeton, and she also has a website:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~aapatterson/allison%27s_page001.htm

A descendant of Roger Thomson, son of Asa & Diana (Quarles), recently surfaced in KY. She has been able to garner a lot more information on the family from sources near her.

Hope this helps.
