On the Indian blood within a family tree: We have discovered if the Indian marrying into a family was a female, the goal seemed to be to absorb her within the family and the Indian reference was dropped as quickly as possible. Indians kept their genealogical information through the mother's line. If her ancestry was dropped amongst the caucasian spouses, that information vanished quickly or was kept secret from the following generations, hence Indian blood which those first generations choose to deny or forget as quickly as possible.

The early citizens didn't realize future generations might not be prejudiced against Native American inclusion within their family tree or might even find it to be of interest to them.
