Captain W. H. Inga, 2nd Company, 1st Missouri Infantry, captured near Osage River/Warsaw, Missouri, February 16, 1862, paroled at Alton, Illinois, February 21, 1862, sent to Columbus, Ohio March 4, 1862, transferred to Johnson's Island April 26, 1862, sent to Vicksburg September 1, 1862, [all this date was taken from Federal documents, the War Department, ca 1900 could not locate any Confederate documents relating to his service]

William H. Inge, Private, age 29, occupation Carpenter, resident of Ashley, Pike County, born in Virginia, enlisted in Company B, 2nd Missouri Infantry, January 9, 1862 at Camp Rogers, Mississippi, captured in the battle of Corinth 3/4, October 1862 and paroled, n.d., served in M. S. G. Company A, Burbridge Regiment 2 Division, engaged in battle of Lexington, Corrinth [sic], captured October 4, 1862, captured at Franklin December 17, 1864, sent to Camp Chase prison, Ohio, released April 30, 1865 upon taking the oath, his parole certificate lists his age as 34 and gives a short physical description, too faint to read on-line
