Speaking of Robert Glenn, there is a Robert Glenn listed as 1st Lt. in the California Guards, Cpt Charles Hagerty, commanding. This unit was part of the Missouri State Guard. The account of their departure from California on the Pacific Railroad bound for Jefferson City appears in The Weekly California News, May 1861. Unfortunately this is all I can find on him. John Kay
