Sgt. Octavius McFarland, 62nd USCI

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of Octavius McFarland, who served in Companies D and K of the Sixty-second U.S. Colored Infantry. Born in Missouri about 1846, he worked as a steamboat man in St. Louis after the war. He died in 1894. Any and all help appreciated.
