Confederate Private John Isbell Co.D 6th Mo.Cav.

Hope someone with access to Missouri Confederate rosters might help me out. I'm looking for any further info on the above named soldier. Only 2 cards in his CMSR with the 6th Cav. ( known at various times as : 3rd regiment Shelby's brigade,Smith's regiment,Thompson's regiment and Hooper's regiment. The 2nd card states " Enlisted March 25,1862 in Arkansas for 3 yrs. " Remarks : " Transferred March 26,1863 from Brown's battalion to Greene's brigrade without horse, all time paid." During the winter of 1863-1864 new men joined the command, and it was redesignated the 11th Missouri Cavalry. Is there any record of him in the 11th Cav ? There was also a John Isbell in the Union 28th Mo. Could be the same man ? Appreciate any help !!!!!

Thanks,

Glenn Land
