Just returned from visiting the old family farm in Yount/Higdon Missouri. I found the Hicks boys, James, Joseph, Farley and William listed in S & S serving in Solomon Kitchen's regiment. In Mr. McgGhees book, I understand the switch to the 7th Regiment. BUT, they also show up later in the war under Union regiments, any explanations?
