Gentry Emerson, 65th, 67th U.S. Colored Infantry

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Gentry Emerson, who served as a fifer in the Sixty-fifth (originally the Second Missouri Infantry, Colored) and Sixty-seventh U.S. Colored Infantries. Emerson died on April 6, 1866, and is buried in Louisiana's Baton Rouge National Cemetery.
