Thanks for the info...
So far, I've been into the St. Joseph, Missouri, newspapers...but no papers for the actual duration of the Civil War! Seems there were some printing presses that got thrown into the Missouri River! Also, dates during much of the later half of the 1850's are missing. The State Historical Society of Missouri at Columbia will be a good resource, I think, as they do have a fairly extensive newspaper collection.
