Yesterday, I learned of this very sad news of Richard's death. If it wasn't for this site, some may not learn of it. Richard was a giant of a scholar on the war in Missouri and an inspiration to others. I am very grateful to him for the work he put into my own book. Scholars down the road will have an easier journey after all the work Richard did. May he Rest In Peace.
