Wallis--Estelle, TX--Jan 26--Mr. M. J. Wallis of this place died at 7 pm Jan 23rd after a long and serious illness. Born in North Carolina 71 years ago, his parents moved to Missouri when he was a child, and he was brought up, educated, and married in that state, and came to Texas in the fall of 1866 with his family, and therefore has been in this county thirty-three years.
