Thank you for your response. I am interested in the composition of the forces involved, both Union and State Guard. Also, where the Union cannon came from that was used in the battle, and who the Germans were (their organization if there was one) who manned the piece. Also, the composition of the Artillery pieces and unit who manned the cannon on the State Guard side. Also, I am interested in David Atchison's role in the battle.

I am also interested in what boats/ferry or other vehicles the State Guards used to cross over the river.

Any other information or if you could direct me to sources for other information would be greatly appreciated. As I continue my research, I would also be glad to share what I have found.
