Bruce and John, thank you so much! There was so much circumstantial evidence that these two were ,indeed, my ancestor, but if there's one thing I've learned doing genealogy, it's to VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY!

David Enyart is also the "Engard" married to Esther Curtis. They are my ggg grandparents.

The David H (Humphrey) Enyard, age 18, in the 3rd MO Inf is their son. He survived the war.

By the way, Bruce, my maiden name is Nichols (or would have been if my dad had not been adopted by his stepfather.) My Nichols hail from southern Alabama and northern Florida.
