M.O.R.

Hello,
I was looking at my gg Uncle's (MISSOURI) Civil War Card on the website: sos.mo.gov/archives.soldiers

I found the record of Steeger, Edward
and written directly above his name... was ---

Steiger on M.O.R.

My gg Uncle was Edward Steiger (Not Steeger) My question is...

Does anyone know what the letters M.O.R. stand for? I believe there was a conflict in the spelling (or interpretation of the spelling) of his name, and perhaps knowing what the M.O.R.represents, it was will shed some light on the subject.

I appreciate your help!

Lisa
