Re: Dallas County Missouri Battles/Skirmishes

Is anyone familiar with the available resources concerning Dallas County? I am particularly wondering if there are any newspapers from the 1860's that might shed some light on the fate of Isaac MARTIN and his wife Mahulda PENN MARTIN. I have found three of the five sons and their families but still know nothing of the circumstances of the killing of Isaac MARTIN as noted in Goodspeed as above and what happened to his wife. Three of the boys are farmed out to relatives in the 1870 census. Huldy and two boys have not yet been found.
Are there any newspapers available today?
Thanks so much

(I am a recent transplant to Kentucky and a cursory look at the CW stories around here shows some of the same border state troubles as Missouri, though not nearly to the same degree.)
