The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Question
In Response To: Question ()

Dear Keith,

I tried to post my reply to your question on the board. Unfortunately, the board thinks my message too long. Well, I suppose twenty-four pages is a tad bit much. But what I have written is chalk-full of information about the "Red Legs" and their role in Missouri, as well as support for my assertion that the raiders were virtually obsessed with find "Red Legs" during the Lawrence raid.

If you send your e-mail address to mine (carold@ruraltel.net) I will e-mail you what I wrote. I invite anyone else interested in the Red Legs to ask for the message as well, and I will cheerfully send it to you. Just address your e-mail as RED LEGS so I don't delete it as spam.

Regards,
JAMES D. DREES
