Martinsburg Skirmish

Printed in the "Statistical Record of the Armies of the United States" by Fredrick Phisterer, page 85, is a chronological list of battles of the Civil War. Number 32 is July 17, 1861 - Martinsburg, MO - 1st Missouri Reserves (one company). This also appears in the OR Series 1 Volume 3, pgs 1 and 786 and Series 4 Volume 4, pg 620. All only mention the date and location. Can't find more specifice reports in the OR. In "Manual of the Civil War and key to the Grand Army of the Republic and Kindrid Societies" by J. Worth Carnahan pg 162 also lists the same information adding (Union 1 killed, 1 wounded). Did this skirmish occur at the Martinsburg in Audrain county or at Martinsburg (now know as Oxly) in Ripley County? Looking for primary source documentation. Thanks, Dan Hill
