With enough patience and the link below, you can find page 290 from Petersen's book and his statement about the various redlegs. The source of his statement is not clear. I suspect he concluded that everyone in the Johnson House that was killed was either a "redleg or one of their allies". However, that would not explain his characterizatin of Joe Finley as a "notorious" redleg.
