Pendleton or Pennington Parker from 48th MO Infant

A few years ago I came across a Pendleton (or Pennington ?) Parker who lived in Missouri (apparently the eastern part) when the Civil War broke out. Per the article he moved to the NW corner of Tennessee to avoid the skirmishes. Somehow, he ended up in the Confederacy, was captured by the Union, and ended up serving the Union for the rest of the war. I thought that he or his son or grandson were somehow intertwined with Randolph County, MO. Unfortunately, I've lost track of the article (believe it was on a large genealogy web site).

Pendleton seems to have been a private in the 48th Missouri Infantry. Per rought notes I have - M390 roll 37 Perhaps there were two different people - possibly one a Pendleton Parker and another a Pennington Parker.

Was wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this gentleman or his descendants? We think he might be my husband's great great grandfather.
