Barrett's Missouri Battery

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I research the 39th Georgia, Cumming's Brigade, Stevenson's Division, Army of Tennessee. Their battle positions were located from the Western & Atlantic Railroad eastward to Peachtree Road. Barrett's Missouri Battery's position was located just to the west of the Marietta Road in the line in support of Stevenson's Division.

I am looking for accounts of combat, unpublished reports, letters, journals, diaries, and newspaper articles for the time period from about July 23 until August 28, 1864.

The fight in the siege lines is overlooked by past historians of the Atlanta Campaign and I am trying to tell the story of Stevenson's Division execution of this critical mission.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Respectfully,
