Suggestion: Try posting down in Arkansas to see what you find. There is a lot of interest in the
Battle of Helena in the Arkansas site.
Several of my kin were at Helena that day with one being captured, Solomon Moore, 36th Arkansas
and carried off by the Union forces never to return and another, Frank Vaughn, suffered a wound
and lost his arm that day.
My gg grandfather, Sgt. Pleas Loyd of the 36th fought there that day too and afterward they
marched along the old Military Road that passed through Brownsville.
