I am trying to identify Asst Surgeon T. Rivers, 4th Infantry Regiment, 1st Division, Missouri State Guard. Since the 4th Infantry consisted primarily of men from Bollinger and Scott counties, I expect he resided in one of those counties, but I may be off base with that reasoning.
