Osceola occupied by First Iowa Cavalry

Hopefully some of you can help me "dig up" a little information. I'm looking for dates that the First Iowa Cavalry occupied Osceola, and the troop strength garrisoned there. I have information that in April, 1862, the steamer SILVER LAKE delivered 30,000 rations to the troops at Osceola.
Also, could someone give me a short synopsis of events that took place in the Osceola area after the town was burned by Lane's "troops"?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Maggie
