Hi,
I live in LA, Cal which is a bit far from MO. I have a BA in History from Cal State Northridge . I didn't study the Civil War much at CSUN but right now I am obsessed by the Gurrilla or "Partisan Ranger conflict in MO. Per T.J. Stiles biography of Jesse James there was a low key Gurrilla war in western MO thru the 1870's. I don't know how the bitterness of the partisan conflict ended. Right now I am reading "the Devil knows how to ride" The true story of William Clake Quantrill. Its a wonder the there was not a full scale war between Kansas and Mo after the Civil War. Richard Brownlee in Grey Ghosts of the confederacy claims 96k men fought for the CSA vs 110k for the Union. What do you think? i wish I could go to MO for the CWRT. I love to hunt and I understand deer huntings better in MO then CA. I could go on and on but we all have thing to do. Anyway I would love to chat with Missourians who love history about their fascinating history from the border wars with Kansas to whats happaning today.

Sincerely,
Leonard Unger
