Hello-----My name is David LOUT Earl. My father was Virgil Hugh LOUT, b. 1902 in Oklahoma Territory. His parents were Martin Varner LOUT and Georgia Edith TIDWELL. Georgia's parents were William Baxter TIDWELL and Martha Salista HARRELL/HEARRELL
William and Martha were married in Neosho, Newton County, Missouri Dec. 25, 1860.

As far as who William's parents were,pure conjecture at this time. William's first born son was James Samuel TIDWELL, and a James Samuel TIDWELL and Lucy MASSENGALE were married in Marshall County in 1838 and had a son William in 1840. Perhaps a coincidence in the Samuel James name. However, when William Baxter TIDWELL applied for inclusion on the Indian tribal rolls in the Indian territory of Oklahoma (he was denied), he listed his father's name as James. sounds pretty convincing.
