If I run across something I will let you know. I think postwar newspapers in SW MO of the likely period may be your best bet if Taylor's legislative career is not obvious in the public record.

By the way, I like your Bill Anderson book and "Other Noted Guerrillas" and cite both several times in my 1864-1865 guerrilla warfare in Missouri book. I am on track to finish the manuscript early next year. I look forward to seeing your future works.
