I am working on an article for the College Mound, Mo., Macon County, Mo. area and need information concerning Daniel Gipson. I think he served in the Civil War on the Union Side but do not know his ranking or where he served. Perhaps someone has this information. Someone from this site also told me a few years ago that George Washington Heifner served on the Union side but could not confirm if this is the same George Washington Heifner that married Sarah Elizabeth Cooley Phillips in Macon or Randolph County, whose family served on the Confederate side of the Civil War. I need their military records only. Thanks for all help.
