This thread caught my eye, and I thought someone might be interested in more "real time" information on the action at Camden Point as well as elsewhere in Platte County during the Civil War.

That link will put you on page 366 of the text which deals with incidents starting in June 1864. Paxton gives a lot of names and specific dates which he gleaned from local newspapers of the time, and from his own personal experiences.
