John Roseberry, Battle of Vicksburg, 6th Missouri

I'm doing a project on the Soldier John Roseberry, and would appreciate any information found on him or his unit.

Information gathered so far:
John Roseberry was in the 6th Infantry Regiment- he was on the Confederate side, in the Company H, and was ranked as a 1st Lieutenant upon entering the regiment.

This unit in which he was apart moved east of the Mississippi River and saw action at Luka and Cornith. Later he was placed in Bowen's Brigade, Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. He fought at Port Gibson and Champion Hill, then his unit was captured at Vicksburg.

On the afternoon of July 1st, 1863, which was three days before the surrender at Vicksburg of July 4, John Roseberry, along with John T. Crenshaw, was killed by the firing of a Union mine-- Roseberry died approximately .4 miles east of Fort Hill. He was among the 33 confederate 6th Infantry Regiment soldiers killed (133 were wounded) at Vicksburg.

I've been researching him for quite a while, and haven't really gathered any information appropriate for the project I am doing-- I have to create a "soldier journal" and write as this soldier from the start of the battle, to his death. Also, I have to write a paper about his place of birth.
I am in need of a birthplace, date of birth, and any other basic information necessary to get this project started.

Thank you! Also, feel free to e-mail me at abigailitaa@gmail.com.
