I'm doing a project where I have to research a soldier from the confederate army who died at Vicksburg. I am supposed to write a soldier journal from the point of view of my soldier. My soldiers name is Hayden James Ezekiel. He was in the 6th Missouri infantry in company I, and he died on July 1st, three days before the siege ended. I have done a lot of research, but I haven't really been able to find that much information. If you have any information on my soldier or his unit, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
