I realize this is a site for Confederates in Missouri - I am working on the grave marker of Peter Frank Lamear - and would like to know whether you have contacts in Missouri who can help me with another problem.

I have worked to get the grave marker for John O'Brien - the first husband of Amanda Hinton - Obrien - Lamear who was a Union vet. After dealing with the people in Saline County, Missouri for years I finally have the grave marker ordered and it is received at the Funeral Home awaiting placement in the cemetery. The cemetery people have FINALLY agreed to a spot where the marker can be placed - and there it sits awaiting placement.

I realize that there will be some cost for this to be accomplished - HOWEVER - no one has yet given me a cost or how this grave marker can be placed in the cemetery.

I have NOT been able to locate a veterans group near this area willing to help me and I would think there MUST be one close enough to be willing to take this on as a project??????
