This soldier enlisted in the 8th Missouri Volunteer Cavalry in Jan. of 1864 in Springfield. He was born in Osage co. Mo., I think his father was Perry Phelps of Rolla. He was seriously wounded in June of 1864 near Searcy, Arkansas, & discharged in November of that year. I'm wondering if anyone has any post war information on him? Did he survive to draw a pension?
