After Price's Missouri expedition, the 2nd CO -- I hope I'm remembering this right -- followed the retreating Confederates to the Arkansas River in Indian Territory and then marched back to Kansas via Ft Gibson, Cherokee Nation. I recall reading accounts of this march, perhaps in the ORs, which took them up the Texas Road to Timber Hill (near present Ketchum OK) and then up to Ft Scott.
Any information you can point me to or share would be most appreciated.
