Re: looking for GG uncles info on 47th inf. Mo. 18

I am also descended from John and Jane (Cravens) Jackson through their daughter Malinda Jane (Jackson) Lewis. I assume that John and Jane were buried in the Lewis Cemetery near Annapolis, Iron Co., MO where their infant children and some adult children are buried. I think I've seen something about Jane's parents, John and Elizabeth Cravens, being buried in Belmar Cemetery in Madison County. I have John Cravens's probate records.

I've always thought that Nathan Jackson was John's father. What proof do you have? Also, I thought John's mother's name was Jane. I found a record in Madison County that John was the administrator of the estate of Jane Jackson and sued Joseph Wilson over money he borrowed from the estate in 1847/8. Since John's wife Jane was still alive in 1848, I thought perhaps this Jane was his mother. What proof do you have that John's mother was Elizabeth?
