Missouri State Guard at Wilsons Creek

I am looking for information on my 2g-grandfather William Mattison Roberts/Robbirds/Robirds from Texas County who was in the Missouri State Guard at Wilsons Creek.

According to a written family history from the 1950s, he was injured at Wilsons Creek. An on-line source for causualties shows: ROBERTS, William M. - Company C, 1st Infantry, 7th Division, 2nd Sergeant, Age 28, Wounded 8/10/61 at the Battle of Wilson's Creek

The same family history shows that William's brother James David "David" Roberts/Robbirds was with him at Wilsons Creek, also supposed to be injured (later captured at home and was a POW). Also says that neighbor Johnny House was with them.

There were also confirmed to be first cousins from Christian County with the Missouri home Guard. Needless to say, the families rarely talked to each other after the war.

Any additional information appreciated, I can provide list of known family members and family story if anyone is interested.

Thanks,

Dan
