The KU Athletic Department has put out a little blurb on the history of the MU-KU rivalry, and of course it goes back to the Border War, and states that Quantrill launched his raid on Lawrence from Columbia (among other blatant distortions of the truth). I knew he launched it from Pardee's place, but I wondered if he had ever even set foot in Columbia. I was hoping you would respond; that is as definitive as it gets in my book.
