That particular text was from the "Narrative of Captain William J. Campbell, Commanding 14th Iowa Infantry". What I have is a copy of a typescript from the Peterson collection. I have not got around to scanning this or transcribing. Peterson used very little of what Campbell wrote. But, the passage linked in the previous message is close to a direct quote.
