Hi,

I found a Benjamin Samuel Hiatt in Donald Hales, Branded as Rebels Volume III part 1 page 270. "He enlisted on August 10, 1861 in Johnson County, MO, in the 16th MO Infantry, Parson's Brigade, Price's Division, Captain David Raker's Company D, commanded by Colonels, Jackman, Lewis & Cummins. He was a private and was in the battles of Lone Jack, Prairie Grove, Helena, Little Rock, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, Mark's Mill, Springfield, Louisiana, Jenkin's Ferry, etc. He was not wounded or taken prisoner and was paroled out of the service in June of 1865 at Shreveport, Louisiana He was born Feb. 19, 1832 in Kentucky and died in Holden, MO on May 21, 1921. He married Martha Ann Hamilton. She died in Johnson County, MO on July 9, 1921. Ref: Records from the United Daughters of the Confederacy Files compiled by Joanne Chiles Eakin."

I don't know if this is a relative of yours and I hope it helps you.
