Lots of men stayed behind in Missouri on Joe Shelby's 1863 Raid into West Central Missouri..........Recruites that had joined partisans then returned with Shelby.................I have some of Mitchell's recruites that was with Bill Anderson in 1864 when he was killed at Orrick...........Lots of recuites were guided south by partisans..........SOP
