Very confused on date for German raid!

I needed some help trying to verify when a raid, headed by Bill Anderson and Dave Poole, happened. There was a raid on German settlers at Freedom Township in Lafayette County, Missouri in 1863. I have read MULTIPLE sources that have the same information. These sources state that the raid happened July 13, 1863 and that Anderson and Poole led approximately 30 guerrillas into the German settlement where four men were killed and six or seven were wounded. However.....I actually found the article on this raid in the old Kansas City "Western Journal Daily Commerce" printed October 9, 1863. The article in this exact paper started out the article as "Last Monday..."
It was written exactly like the raid happened on October 5th.

So....if I found the article on October 9, starting out that "Last Monday" with the same information (Anderson and Poole, four killed, six or seven wounded), where did all of these sources get July 13? I know the guerrillas hit the German settlers several times. But Anderson and Poole couldnt have led a raid where four were killed and six or seven were wounded twice?

It doesnt add up.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
