Re: Burbridge brothers
Thank you so much for all the info. Piecing together Clinton has been interesting. I obviously need to get your book. Could you give me the title and where it is available or do you sell it personally? I am so grateful for your help and will continue piecing it all together. i hope to have a timeline on Clint before I am finished of exactly he was when and where. John Q is easier to trace but I am also not done with him. William K was much older and looked after the younger boys after their father died in 1838. Their father was quite a business man and owned lots of land-part of it lots in Louisiana where there were a lot of businesses. I am still piecing together Benjamin's (their father's) history also. Frost's journal is available so I can get the quotes from him. I have always dealt in old books and sold a signed copy of Frost's journal some time ago to a another dealer. I wish now I had kept it but I never read it word for word and didn't know that there was something about the Burbridges in it. George Martin sent me an email saying Clinton's combined service record was 280 cards.
Do you know where I could access to all of that or would I need to a Federal Military Archive somewhere? Your kindness is much appreciated.
