Baker brothers from Page Co. Iowa

In 1860, George Baker lived in Page Co. Iowa, not far from the Missouri line. He was born in Kentucky and his kids in KY and IN. He had 3 sons of Military age. I have found no military record for any of the three. I find that odd.

Edward Baker (b. 1843) (later married Mattie Longacre in Kingsville and stayed there)
Benjamin Lee Baker (b. 1845) (later went to AZ, OK, then MT)
James Hollis Baker (b. 1848) (later became General foreman of the Telegraph Dept. for the Missouri Pacific RR in KC.)

I'm wondering if they crossed the line and enlisted in Missouri, or went to Nebraska and enlisted as some Page County men did?
Maybe Benjamin served in Arizona? He was there in 1870.

George sold out and moved to Kingsville MO in 1868 with his family, except Benjamin.
I'm also wondering how George even knew there was a Kingsville, unless maybe one of his sons had been there during the War, either as a Nebraska or Iowa soldier, or as a guerrilla.

Does anyone have any ideas?
