I have a military certificate from 1862 authorized by Brig. Gen. John B. Gray & Geo. Glaser exempting a man in St. Louis from service in the Enrolled Missouri Militia under General Order 19 "by reason of his being a student of Jones' Coml College, an institution authorized by Law." Does anyone know what this college name might have been and where it was located? The writing is pretty clear, but not positive about the Coml - definitely begins with a Co and ends with an L ???
