Thanks for all the help in this Bruce, I have access to most of the county histories from the 1880's and they are indeed some help. However, there are place names mentioned in the OR's that do not appear in the histories, rare as that might be; therefore having as many options as possible is a very good thing. I am resorting to a county by county search, starting with the northeast.
