The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

Talitha Hawkins - Ryder

Interesting lady from which it appears is the main connection to the activities of Jim Rider.

This appears to be her as her March 9th 1865 affidavit to the Provost Marshall states she is 20 years old and a native of Livingston Co.

In her statement she states she married James Rider/Ryder Oct 2 1860 in Livingston Co Mo. Looking at the marriage records of Livingston Co Mo 1837-1863 I find lo and behold a record of a marriage of James Ryder to a Loretha Winkler on Oct 2nd 1860 officiated by Nathaniel Watson J.P.
